After creating a blog, you write your valuable content on it. So you are on blogger or Blogspot platform for blogging as it is search engine friendly, free and many other reasons. But the rules of Blogger are strict that it may even delete your blog or posts even without former notice. Sometimes you also may delete some posts unknowingly. So if you have a back up of your blog, your hard work won't be wasted. But if you don't have a back-up then all your hard labor goes in vain. So i suggest to every blogger to keep the back up of your blog. Later this back up can be used to restore the content to next blog. Let's see the steps below to know how to Backup or Restore Your Blogger Blog.
Download Complete Backup Of Blogger Blog Content
1. Log in to your blogger's Dashboard. Go to Settings >> Others .
2. Now under Blog Tools section on top, Click on "Export Blog".
3. When you click Export Blog, a pop up will appear same as below. Then click on "Download Blog" .
Clicking on "Download Blog" button will download your whole content of your blog in an xml format. Save the back up in a safe place of your computer or drives.
Restore Your Blogger Blog
When you have downloaded the back up of the content of your blog, you may anytime need that back up to restore the content to another blog. This also can be used to merge two blogger blogs. So to import the back up content to your blog, follow the steps below:
1. Go to Blogger>> Settings>> Other
2. Click on "Import blog" under Blog Tools on Top.
3. When you click Import blog a popup will appear as shown below.
4. Click on Choose File button under "Select an exported blog file (.xml)" . Choose the xml file of your blogger blog (or the back up of your blog ). Enter the captha image and click on Import Blog option.
Note: You can choose if you want to "Automatically publish all imported posts and pages" .
